The rapid growth and development of mobile marketing technology is proving to be a significant boon for small businesses. There are over 120 million U.S. Smartphone users and more than 50% of all searches performed occur on a mobile device. Small businesses who ignore mobile devices are putting their future growth at risk. Various new features such as location-based targeting and mobile-social sharing have far reaching benefits by reaching a large number of customers. Mobile searches and shopping options have advanced expeditiously to target customers in fixed locations with ads being showcased by zip code, addresses etc.     The CEO of Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), Greg Stuart says “Local merchants have a better opportunity on mobile, in part because they can craft it to fit their business”. Many small business owners are giving more priority to mobile marketing as mobile marketing tools broaden their potential message channels to reach nearby customers.     Customers are more engaged with brands that are localized. For example, if you run an IT consultancy which serves a local community, you are likely to get more leads from people in that region if you have a mobile strategy.     An effective mobile app is a good channel for delivering instant customer ...

Google has launched another missile for bloggers in the form of a Google Panda Algorithm update. This is the 24th revision of Google Panda since its launching in February 2013. This update was announced by Google onTwitter with a noticeable impact of1.2% of English search queries globally. The previous update was Google Panda#23 that was listed in December 21, 2012 which affected 1.3% of search queries.     Panda is updated from time to time in order to stop sites with poor quality content from working their way into Google’s top search results. When the Panda updates, sites previously hit may escape if they’ve made the right changes. It may also catch the sites that escaped before.   Matt Cutts announced that the Panda algorithm will soon be more integrated into overall continuous algorithm updates. This means that when Panda refreshes it will be in more real time and will be less obvious to webmasters and SEOs to detect.   For making your website better with the new Panda updates, be aware of the following. Variety–For better ranking in the search engines, have a diversified link portfolio such as an anchor variety, dofollow/nofollow, high PR/no PR etc.   Penalized–With the Panda updates, some blogging networks were penalized while other networks ...

For the past several weeks, John Tabita has been writing on the subject of how to find larger clients. While the techniques he described were not rocket science, most small business people and freelancers simply don’t take the steps required. He believes the reason is because it’s outside most people’s comfort zone. Here’s what he has got involved: 1. Define your ideal client Having a goal to land larger clients is futile if you don’t have a clear picture of what that client looks like. This will drive all that you do, from deciding what online and offline networks to involve yourself, to targeting who you ultimately decide to prospect. 2. Go Where Your Prospects Are A marketing axiom is that you should go where your prospects are. In the online world, executive decision-makers and business people are on LinkedIn. Offline, they can be found in industry association groups, and in community, civic, and charitable organizations. You’ll need to involve yourself in these. 3. Gain Recognition and Become Influential Being part of a group means becoming involved. The best way to gain recognition and influence is to help others gain recognition and become influential. True leaders serve others.   You must prospect!   Once you reach this level, a good ...
We visited school on 21st December for which we did fundraising event on 29th March 2012. We drove south east of Kathmandu for about 2 hours, the last 5 km being up a very steep & rugged dirt track. We had to get out of the car to guide the driver over boulders, deep ruts & through sand.         When we reached school we were greeted by school children with flowers and garlands of marigolds. Then we moved inside for the further program. For the next hour we enjoyed performances of dance & song by the students. At the end of the program, we gave text book, pencil and lollies. VIS Australia has donated first computer to the school on 21st December 2012.     More details of Christmas to come tomorrow.

No, it’s not about getting high PageRank or stuffing Keywords, 2013 is going to be all about AuthorRank.   New SEO prospective is all clear to us; now in 2013, it is all going to be about new metric. In order to give an accurate search result with quality content, Google is implementing the idea of Google+ and Google authorship to increase the relevancy of the contents for users. Google is also considering social indicators such as facebook likes, Google+ shares and tweets as one of important factors to conclude as quality sites. But things do not stop here, Google depends on hundreds of factors to decide whether your sites deserve to park itself in Google’s first page or not. As facebook, twitter, Google+ and youtube have been already a popular social media for Search Engine optimisation; recently Instagram has also entered into this fame game. I noticed instagram for the first time at my facebook home page when one of my friends shared his pictures through it. I thought it was one of ...
